HopeStart: Psychotherapy, Mental Health, and Job Coaching Supports

What We Offer

Employment-Focused Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy provided by qualified and registered practitioners to support individuals in identifying and addressing mental health and/or substance-related barriers that may impact readiness, confidence, or sustainability in employment.

Occupational Therapy Assessment & Support
Assessment and functional support provided by a qualified Occupational Therapist to identify strengths, challenges, and practical accommodations related to work, routines, and daily functioning.

General Psychotherapy Support
We offer generalist psychotherapy provided by qualified and regulated practitioners. Services are tailored to each individual’s goals and may focus on mental health concerns, substance use, life transitions, or barriers impacting employment and overall well-being. Sessions are collaborative, client-directed, and grounded in safety, dignity, and evidence-informed practice.

Collaborative Service Coordination
We work closely with individuals, families, employers, and other professionals to coordinate supports, reduce fragmentation, and ensure services remain aligned with employment goals.

Trauma-Informed, Strengths-Based Practice
All services are grounded in dignity, safety, and respect, recognizing that employment pathways are shaped by lived experience, capacity, and individual goals.

Flexible, Community-Based Delivery
Services are delivered in the community, workplace settings, or virtually—based on what best supports engagement, learning, and real-world application.

Funding & Coverage Options
Depending on the service, supports may be funded through extended health insurance, DSO Passport funding, and in some cases Employment Ontario. We work with individuals and families to explore appropriate funding pathways.
