HOPESTART MENTAL HEALTH
Helping adults build stability, skills, and confidence
What We Offer
Psychotherapy
Provided by licensed and registered mental health professionals, psychotherapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore challenges, build resilience, and work toward meaningful personal goals. Services are tailored to each individual's unique experiences and may address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationships, grief, life transitions, and emotional wellness. Evidence-based psychotherapy is widely recognized as an effective approach for improving mental health and coping skills.
Group Therapy
Group therapy combines professional guidance with the benefits of shared learning and connection. Facilitated by a registered psychotherapist, groups focus on practical skills, personal growth, emotional wellness, and topics relevant to everyday life. Both virtual and in-person groups are offered throughout the year. Research and clinical practice consistently demonstrate the value of structured group therapy for skill development, support, and reducing isolation.
Developmental Services & Life Skills Support
We provide individualized supports for adults living with developmental exceptionalities, autism, intellectual disabilities, dual diagnosis, and other unique support needs. Services focus on building independence, confidence, daily living skills, emotional wellness, social connections, and meaningful participation in community life. Many supports may be eligible for Passport funding through Developmental Services Ontario (DSO).
Mental Health & Wellness Coaching
Our non-clinical coaching services help individuals build practical skills and strategies to support emotional wellness, self-advocacy, confidence, communication, routine development, and personal growth. Coaching is strengths-based, goal-focused, and tailored to each individual's needs and learning style.
Community Integration & Respite Supports
We support individuals in building meaningful connections within their communities through recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, skill-building experiences, and social engagement. Supports are designed to promote belonging, independence, and quality of life while also providing families with flexible, goal-focused respite options.
Collaborative, Person-Centred Care
Whether accessing psychotherapy, coaching, developmental services, or group programming, every individual receives support that is person-centred, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and responsive to their unique goals. We work collaboratively with individuals, families, caregivers, and other professionals to create coordinated support plans that foster growth, wellness, and long-term success.
